Muc-Off Honda Racing is focused on delivering consistent results in the opening rounds of the FIM Supercross Championship, as they build momentum for the long season ahead.

“Consistency is paramount, it’s a long championship and in the infancy of our program we need to establish a foundation we can build off. We finished strong in round 1 and that’s our focus again for tonight.” Team director, Yarrive Konsky.

Justin Brayton isn’t content with 6th but believes he has proven that both he and the all-new Honda CRF450R are capable of running up front with the factory riders and teams.

“This new bike rips, it really does, so I am really happy with the power we have and feel we are capable of podiums in a stacked field. There are 15 or so fast guys, the top 14 qualified within 1 second of one another so my aim is to focus on my starts and race the track to my strengths. I look forward to getting back out there tonight for round 2.” Brayton 450SX Muc-Off Honda Racing

Mitchell Oldenburg wants to dial it up a notch for tonight’s race, following his 8th place finish in the season opener.

“My bike is good; suspension and Pirelli tyres are spot on, I want to turn it up a little now that round 1 is complete, I’m feeling good heading into tonight. My times weren’t too far off the lead guys, so coming I plan on racing with that group tonight, I know we can aim for higher up in the standings. I will work on improving a little in every area that I can and see what result that produces. I also want to make sure I keep pace and stay consistent, as we all know consistency is so important right from the get go, when we have limited rounds in the 250 class.” Oldenburg 250SX East Muc-Off Honda Racing.

Due to COVID and venue restrictions, the first three rounds of the Championship are being held in Houston, Texas. Round two at the NRG Stadium, Houston will be tonight. Racing starts at 7pm (Eastern Standard Time – Australia – Wednesday at 12pm)
