Anstie – Embracing the challenge!
Despite a tough weekend in Daytona, the Firepower Honda Team remains at the forefront of the East Coast Supercross Championship. Team Principal Martin Davalos views the challenges as essential lessons, making the team even stronger.
“We’ve never led the Supercross Championship before, and while we faced pressure and made mistakes, we’ve learned from them, emerging stronger and more united,” Davalos remarked.
Max Anstie, the current championship leader, acknowledges the team’s journey. Though victory isn’t new to him, leading the American Supercross Championship has been a cherished aspiration.
“Our journey isn’t accidental. Despite setbacks in the last two rounds, we’re focusing on the positives of this season. We’ve won our first heat race, qualified well, and our training and testing has been solid. We’ve grown closer as a team, learning from our mistakes,” Anstie affirmed.
Unfortunately, the team’s 450 rider, Dean Wilson, suffered a fractured scapula in Daytona, sidelining him for the upcoming races. Despite his disappointment, Wilson aims to return soon to support the team and connect with fans.
“I’m really disappointed right now. We were performing well, and I felt great. I’ll be back on track as soon as possible, eager to meet fans once the pain subsides,” Wilson expressed.
In light of their achievements, the team crafted a video to honor Max, the crew, and sponsors. However, their Instagram page fell victim to hacking. Please support their new page Firepower_Honda by following and sharing
