Smith and Frye expect more from themselves!
Firepower Honda aims to come back stronger following the break.
The Firepower Honda team failed to achieve their goals in Indianapolis and is aiming to come back stronger following the break. Team Manager Martin Davalos expects more from Jordon and Jarrett, he knows what they are capable of and is working hard to ensure they come back after the break better prepared for the final four rounds.
“The weekend we took a step back which is always hard, but we will learn from it. Since returning from Indianapolis we have tested some new settings and worked on some different sections. I am positive we will return stronger” said Davalos.
Jordon got a great start in the final but came together with another rider whilst placed in fourth. Smith had a second crash later in the race and had to come back from near last to 8th.
“This was a tough one, I got a great start and didn’t capitalize on it. These mistakes are hurting my chances of a podium. The bike and team are great, and I will work hard with everyone during the break to come back stronger,” said Smith.
Jarrett Frye went directly from his heat race straight to the main but didn’t fair well in the results. Frye made many mistakes in the main event and finished 17th.
“Its frustrating as I feel I am riding well during the week, and I make mistake after mistake whilst racing. I have four races to turn things around and I will try best to achieve some better finishes,” said Frye
The team will race again April 9th, St Louis. For more information on Supercross go to www.supercrosslive.com
